The Company
E-Data Shred was founded in 2005 by the principals of City Shredding Corporation (now CINTAS Document Management), a NAID “AAA” certified document shredding and destruction business. In 2005, City Shredding was aquired by CINTAS, a multi-national corporation engaging in Paper Document Shredding, coast-to-coast.
The Principals and co-founders:
Tom McGinnis — Tom is the President and Member of the Board of Directors of E-Data Shred. Tom is a 25-year veteran of the paper recycling business, and in 1992 founded City Shredding when he recognized the growing need for secure destruction of corporate and private information and data. Tom is a long-standing member of the NAID organization, and presently sits on the Board of Directors of NAID. Tom is actively involved in all aspects of E-Data Shred's ongoing business, it's sales efforts and overall operations.
Helena Urban — Helena is the Vice-President of E-Data Shred and a board member. Helena exercises overall responsibility for E-Data Shred's day-to-day operations, marketing and sales efforts, oversight of destruction, and recycling of shredded materials.
John G.F. Ruggieri — John is a Board member of E-Data Shred. Presently, John is a Corporate and Real Estate attorney with the firm of Looney & Grossman LLP in Boston, and acts as a management consultant to E-Data Shred's ongoing business operations.
